How Cancer Check Works
Your blood sample is collected by a professional phlebotomist, then filtered in our lab using advanced technology to isolate tumor cells. A board-certified pathologist reviews the results, with reports available in 10-14 days.
Step 1
Your Test Kit Ships
Your kit is sent via FedEx Ground within 1-2 business days from when the order is placed. It typically arrives within a week from purchase.
Step 2
Schedule Your Phlebotomy Appointment
The Welcome letter in your kit provides options for your blood draw if you would like to use one of our phlebotomy partners. The blood draw is included in the price of the test when using one of our trusted phlebotomy partners.
Phlebotomy appointments can be made Monday - Thursday only, to ensure we receive your sample the next day.
Step 3
Day of Phlebotomy Appointment
Please complete any forms that are included in your kit and hand them to the phlebotomist so that they are returned to us.
Fasting is not required for our test. We do recommend you stay hydrated as that makes drawing blood easier.
Step 4
Your Test Kit Is Sent to Cancer Check Labs
Kit is returned to us via FedEx Priority Overnight. Kits must be dropped off at FedEx by 3pm to ensure overnight delivery.
If you use one of our phlebotomy partners, they will handle the drop off at FedEx for you.
Step 5
Our Lab Filters Your Blood
Your blood sample is sent and filtered in our lab using advanced technologies that can isolate tumor cells with our proprietary workflow.
We then prepare slides for our Pathologists to review.
Step 6
Pathology Review
A pathologist reviews your sample and data to determine whether or not tumor cells were detected.
Every customer receives aboard-certified pathology report for their screening.
Step 7
Your Results
You receive your screening results via encrypted email in approximately 10-14 business days.
